EMG/NCV
(Electromyography/Nerve Conduction Velocities)
EMG is a test used to detect nerve function. It measures the electrical activity generated by muscles. During this test, small needle is inserted into a muscle to record the level of activity. The test evaluates nerve and muscle function and identifies nerve damage.
NCV is a nerve test which utilizes mild and gentle electrical stimulation to the nerve to determine the medical condition of that nerve.
